  • There is now a choice of payment providers offered by Imagetogo.net by adding Google Checkout to our existing PayPal option. There are benefits of changing to Google Checkout not least of which is currently a lower per transaction charge. You also have the option of setting up your accounts with either PayPal or Google Checkout, giving your customer the choice of which payment service provider they want to use. Imagetog.net does not recommend one service provider over the other. It is for you to assess the offering by each provider and make your own judgement to meet your needs and those of your customers.

  • We continually check our automated systems against new browser releases. ChopChop is now supported on IE 7 Microsoft browser running on 64 bit Vista.

  • A simple and easy way to show a video clip is now available. You can use it to advertise or to add client side value, where video has been taken of the function or event.

  • Setting up your email application so that you can receive all your automated emails from Imagetogo.net is now more important than ever because of the spam protection now in place by many internet service providers. Follow the instructions given under the admin section and give yourself piece of mind that you will not miss any orders that are sent you.

  • Many internet browsers offer as standard zoom function that many customers are not aware of. The way to do this is now indicated on all large images automatically on websites that you create.

  • Google Checkout is coming soon! Many of you have been requesting an alternative to PayPal where the percentage deducted is more competitive. We will be launching soon a second option by Google called 'Google Checkout'. If you intend to switch to this service it would be a good idea to check it out and make sure it is right of you.   • Added 5 new slideshow music items.

  • Included the 'Promotions' feature in the 'Account Summary' so that you can at a glance see how the account is set up.

  • To avoid confusion we have removed options that are not operative if no photos have been uploaded from the left hand menu, such as 'View Photo', 'Compare Photo' and 'Slide Show' links.

  • Included an 'Alternative Slide Show' link which uses 'Silverlight' technology from Microsoft. Silverlight is cross platform compatible with PC and Mac. This is an alternative technology to 'Flash' and offers more advanced features for viewing images. Your customers who will now have a far more rewarding experience when viewing their slide shows. We kept the previous slide show in place for those who do not want to upload another browser plug-in.

  • As an alternative to pay as you go we now offer a subscription model. This is in response to the growing band of users who are regular users and want a quicker and easier method to set up websites. It will also save you a little money if you commit to a subscription over the pay as you go method. We are offering limited licenses of three months to use imagetogo.net with a range of capacities of 10000 and 5000 images.

  • Introduced a ‘Promotional Discount’ feature in addition to the blanket ‘Discount’ feature already available. This enables you to set up a discount with a promotional code that your client can use to claim a gift voucher. It can also be used by multiple clients when a promotional code is used in advertising. You can set parameters to the codes use by fixing a start and finish date.

  • Withdrew the image to mobile service due to an unreliable third party supplier however text to mobile is still available.

  • Now have up to 13 currencies supported by PayPal enabled on the system.

All they need is the last 5 digit code shown at the end of the web address. If you wish to protect from public access it is recommended that you also password protect your websites.

Credit Card Transactions are Becoming More Secure

From the 1st July 2007 we will be introducing a more secure form of payment being phased in by the major credit card companies. 3D Secure is an extra step you must take to process your purchase. 3D Secure is a culmination of Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code. It is the latest fraud prevention initiative launched by the card schemes as a more secure method for authenticating the cardholder at the time of the transaction.

If you have registered your card for 3D Secure, you will be asked to enter your 3D Secure password. If you have not registered your card before, you will have the option to do so, there and then. You only have to do this once.

  • The copyright text on an enlarged image can now change position. The options are top, middle, bottom or left and right of the image. The opacity and size of the text can now be changed.

  • When adding a title and description to the top of the website you would send to your clients, the number of characters allowed has now been increased from 500 to 1000. This is to help accommodate links to other sites which are now allowed in this position.

  • If you are placing 'information at checkout' for your client’s guidance, you will be pleased to hear that it is now a ‘Default’ option. This means that once entered it will appear on all websites generated on that account, until changed by you.

Thank you for all the helpful suggestions given to us at the recent SWPP Convention in Hammersmith (London) on how to improve the website. We are working our way through the list and can now tick off the following.

We have added ten more templates to the 'Select Website Theme' including a number with grey backgrounds. You can use these to build on and create your own look by uploading an image to cover the top banner. An alternative style to the left hand menu is now available.

We have also reduced the frame to the large image to a single grey line on most templates. So you now have a choice of with or without framing. If you want your own frame to an image, upload them already framed and use a no frame option.

  • Launch the ‘New Look’ website using clearer type faces and a neutral colour scheme.

  • The ‘link back’ to the photographer's website will now appear for both PayPal and Email order options after the customer has placed their order.

  • We now keep a copy of the ‘Basket’ for up to seven days. So if you are experiencing problems with emails, you can contact us within this period and we will be able to resend the basket to you.

  • ChopChop will now not alter your images in any way provided that they are no bigger than 500 x 500 pixels and less than 45kB.

We have upgraded the entire website to be .NET 2.0 compliant (Microsoft’s latest server side technology) incorporating many new items that have been requested by our customers:

  • The large image size has increased from 400 pixels square to 500 pixels square.

  • A large popup tooltip now appears when the cursor hovers over an enlarged image, displaying both the file reference and discount information.

  • We have added an image index feature to help your customers "Search" the website quickly.

  • The slide show now displays larger photos as well as feature image fade transitions.

  • You can now access the "News" link on the "Home" page. This has been amalgamated with "Press" which has been removed.

  • The .NET version of "ChopChop" now has a file sorting facility. This allows you to sort the images in either filename or date/time order before hitting the "Upload" button.

  • You will now be able to track the number of visits to each website by using the new stats counter.

  • We have added numerous minor cosmetic enhancements which improve the overall usability; this includes removing formatting “bugs” which have previously affected Mac users.

Added a new category under "Further Options" called "Integrate with Your Website". Introduced a new "Cut and Paste" code feature that allows you to add an "input box" to your website's Home Page. This can be useful if you want to give out a code to your customers to enable them to find their photos on your website. The code is automatically generated by the system when you buy the website.

When your customer go through the "Checkout" procedure and complete a purchase, you can now add a link that will bring them back to your website's Home Page.

Users can now send images they have uploaded on their websites to their mobile phone as a MMS message, in full colour! There will be no charge for sending images to a handset, but mobile networks will charge a token fee for receipt of images. This service has been initiated via partnership with our mobile data services software company, PocketThis Ltd and is currently available in UK, France, Denmark and Belgium. Please check with your mobile phone service provider that MMS messaging has been enabled for your handset. This will also apply to anyone you want to forward the image to.
